Ola Electric has unveiled its latest offering, the Ola Gig electric scooter, priced at an affordable ₹39,999 (ex-showroom). This new model is designed specifically for the B2B market and aims to cater to last-mile delivery services.
The scooter is available in two variants—Gig and Gig+, with the latter priced at ₹49,999. Both variants sport a minimalistic, utilitarian design featuring a single seat and an exposed handlebar with a compact digital instrument cluster.
Key Specifications
- Gig Variant: Powered by a 250-watt hub motor with a top speed of 25 km/h.
- Gig+ Variant: Equipped with a more powerful 1.5 kW motor, allowing it to reach a maximum speed of 45 km/h.
Both models come with a removable 1.5 kWh battery pack. The Gig variant offers an impressive range of 112 km on a single charge. Meanwhile, the Gig+ offers two options for battery configuration:
- A single pack providing a range of 81 km.
- Dual battery packs extending the range to 157 km.
The launch of the Gig electric scooter highlights Ola Electric’s strategy to expand its footprint in the commercial and logistics sectors, providing an economical and eco-friendly solution for businesses.
